TOTEM AUTOMOBILI PRESENTS “DESIDERIA”

Treviso, 24th September 2026 - The name Desideria captures the idea at the heart of the project: the aspiration to turn something first imagined into reality. That is the story behind this Totem GT Super. From his first meetings with Totem, the Belgian collector who commissioned it had a precise vision for his car. At its centre was a particular shade of light metallic green, developed especially by Totem Automobili and named Verde MOVO. Desideria was unveiled to its owner on 9 September at the Tutto Bene Hillclimb on Mottarone. The event also marked its first public appearance: a debut in motion, on a road that naturally brought out the character of the GT Super.

A PALETTE CREATED FOR DESIDERIA Verde MOVO is the starting point for the entire specification. Its luminous colour is complemented by satin gold details on both the bodywork and in the cabin, as well as an extended carbon-fibre package featuring the signature Totem Design weave, also in a satin finish. Together, these elements create a balance between colours and materials that might at first seem far apart: the freshness of the green, the warmth of the gold and the technical depth of the carbon fibre. Each retains its own identity while contributing to a coherent whole, shaped around a single vision.

MATERIAL AS A LANGUAGE Inside, Desideria introduces a distinctive corduroy by Limonta to a Totem for the first time. Limonta is a Lombardy textile company founded in 1893. Chosen in a shade that complements the Terracotta Nappa leather, the fabric gives the cabin a visual and tactile depth new to Totem. The softness of the leather and the texture of the corduroy converse with the carbon fibre and the reflections of the satin gold metal details. Every material has been chosen for the way it feels as well as the way it looks. The driving position is defined by a CNC-machined carbon-fibre steering wheel trimmed in leather. Behind it, the steering column and new stalk assembly combine carbon fibre and titanium, deliberately leaving the workings of the controls visible through the wheel’s spokes. At the centre of the cabin is the raised “skeleton” gear tower, machined from solid aluminium and stainless steel. Its open architecture reveals the linkage beneath and its machined components. The movement of the lever thus becomes part of the visual experience, as well as the direct, physical connection between car and driver.

A WORK OF ART BORN IN MURANO The gear lever itself gave rise to Desideria’s most personal detail. Fascinated by the murrina gear knobs featured in E. Marinella cars, the owner asked Totem to create a unique piece for his GT Super: one that would reflect the place the car would hold in his collection. Totem Automobili turned to Seguso Vetri d’Arte. The Seguso family is the oldest family in Murano glassmaking to have worked without interruption. Its documented history dates back to 1397 and spans twenty-three generations of master glassmakers. Working with Gian Andrea Seguso, a member of the family’s current generation, Totem developed a gear knob exclusively for Desideria. The result is a small work of art, blown and crafted entirely by hand in Murano, in the heart of the Venetian Lagoon. Green glass and 24-carat gold, encased in clear ribbed glass, form a murrina that echoes the car’s colours and materials. The green recalls the Verde MOVO bodywork; the gold connects it to the satin details inside and out; and the ribbed surface recalls the corduroy. A functional component becomes a material expression of the entire specification: a meeting point between the automobile, art and a tradition of craftsmanship.

ENGINEERING IN THE SERVICE OF DRIVING The attention given to materials is matched by a mechanical specification designed to heighten the GT Super’s direct, engaging character. Desideria is equipped with the electronically controlled valved exhaust system developed by Totem Automobili together with Capristo, allowing the voice of the twin-turbo V6 to adapt to different moments behind the wheel. The suspension features electronically controlled ORAM dampers, while Brembo GT-S brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres complete a specification conceived to combine feedback, control and enjoyment on the road. At its core remains the architecture of the Totem GT Super: a carbon-fibre monocoque, a 2.8-litre twin-turbo V6 producing up to 640 hp, and a traditional six-speed manual gearbox. With Desideria, personalisation becomes a genuinely shared creative process. It extends beyond choosing colours and finishes: materials, engineering and craftsmanship all take shape from the same initial idea.
