TOTEM AUTOMOBILI UNVEILS THE GT SUPER No. 32, “LITORALE BRADO”
Unveiled at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, one of the most personal interpretations of the GT Series, born from an extensive co-design process between Totem and its client
California, August 2026 - Totem Automobili presents “Litorale Brado”, the Totem GT Super no. 32, unveiled and delivered to its Californian owner on the occasion of The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, during Pebble Beach’s celebrated automotive week.
A particularly fitting setting for one of the most personal cars ever created by the Italian manufacturer. Litorale Brado is the result of a long development process carried out side by side with its client, taking the GT Series personalization programme well beyond the selection of colours, materials and finishes to include bespoke components and dedicated engineering solutions.
The original brief was remarkably clear: to create a Totem with an almost “stealth” character, while retaining the elegance and sophistication that define the marque’s creations.
From this idea came Big Sur Green, a bespoke triple-layer metallic paint developed specifically for the car, paired with satin gunmetal trim throughout both the exterior and interior. For the first time on a GT Series, the same finish is also carried over to the wheels in a two-tone configuration, designed to give the car a more muscular, subtly hot-rod-inspired character without compromising its overall visual balance.
The exploration of materials continues inside the cabin, where the leather features a distinctive “relic” finish, selected to evoke the naturally worn character of historic racing car interiors. It is paired with a textile by Limonta, the historic Italian textile manufacturer founded in 1893, chosen for its tactile qualities and its ability to integrate naturally into the overall language of the interior.
The carbon fibre itself was also the subject of a dedicated study. Litorale Brado features an extended carbon package, inside and out, finished in satin with a traditional weave across the main surfaces. All visible vertical elements, however, feature the distinctive “Totem Classic” herringbone weave, creating a subtle yet immediately recognisable contrast throughout the specification.
Completing the car’s exterior identity are smoked glass and a hand-painted Italian Tricolore, applied to the side skirts and engine plenum: an intentionally understated detail that pays tribute to the project’s origins and to the Italian manufacturing culture behind it.
One of Litorale Brado’s most distinctive features stems directly from the personal story of its owner. A passionate amateur woodworker, the client asked Totem to reinterpret in wood one of the elements with which the driver has the closest physical connection. The result is an entirely bespoke steering wheel, CNC-machined and subsequently finished by hand using Wengé and Maple. The same combination of woods is carried over to the bespoke gear knob, creating a direct material connection between two of the driver’s primary touchpoints.
The development of the cabin also led to a new layout for some of the vehicle’s controls, with a number of switches relocated to a bespoke overhead console integrated into the headliner. Inspired by aviation, the solution reinterprets the traditional relationship between driver and dashboard while further enhancing the highly individual character of the cockpit.
Litorale Brado also marks a new chapter from an engineering perspective. The car sees the debut of Totem’s proprietary steering-column stalk assembly, designed and manufactured in Italy from carbon fibre and titanium. Its construction deliberately exposes part of the mechanism behind the steering wheel, turning an otherwise purely functional component into a technical and material feature in its own right. The system is complemented by a carbon-fibre and titanium steering column, developed to reduce mass and inertia within the steering system while increasing the sense of precision transmitted to the driver.
Completing the technical specification is the electronically valved exhaust system developed with Capristo specifically for the Totem GT Series, allowing the acoustic character of the car to be altered while preserving a direct connection between mechanical response, engine speed and the overall driving experience.
With Litorale Brado, Totem Automobili takes the concept of tailor-made well beyond aesthetic personalization. Materials, finishes, ergonomics and technical components become part of a single design process built around the owner, with client, designers, engineers and craftsmen working together to define the automobile.
It is an approach that sees the GT Series not as a configuration to be selected from a catalogue, but as a starting point from which to create automobiles capable, one example at a time, of reflecting the personality of those who will ultimately cherish them.
