TOTEM AUTOMOBILI AT THE QUAIL TO UNVEIL THE “SPORT PROTOTIPO”

Treviso, August 20, 2025 - Totem Automobili has unveiled the GT Super SP - “Sport Prototipo” - the ultimate evolution of the GT Super and the company’s most exclusive creation to date, a farewell masterpiece marking the conclusion of Totem’s pioneering journey in the world of restomod. Conceived as a collector’s icon, the GT Super SP will be produced in only ten numbered examples worldwide, each one destined to embody the perfect fusion of heritage and innovation.

The prototype n.00, affectionately named “Rocket” by its American owner and long-time Totem enthusiast, made its public debut during the prestigious Monterey Car Week 2025, in the refined atmosphere of The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, one of the world’s most exclusive automotive sets. Alongside the SP, Totem also presented the Marinella, a bold new concept that stunned the audience with its shimmering pearl-effect bodywork and interiors upholstered in precious silk by the Neapolitan Maison.

As its predecessor, the GT Super SP is crafted entirely in carbon fiber, yet it represents a radical transformation both aesthetically and mechanically. The bodywork has been widened by 130 mm around the wheel arches, allowing for redesigned side skirts that now integrate dual lateral exhausts developed in collaboration with German specialist Capristo, electronically valved to offer the driver complete control over the car’s acoustic presence. The removal of rear exhaust outlets made way for a reimagined tail section, where sculpted air outlets optimize airflow and a larger diffuser increases aerodynamic load and stability at speed.

This broader stance required a complete reengineering of the subframes, suspension geometry, and chassis dynamics; the electronically adjustable suspension, co-developed with Como-based ORAM, allows fully independent front and rear calibration via dual rotary selectors placed on the steering wheel, enabling the driver to adapt the setup instantly to any condition, proving the remarkable versatility of a car designed to be both thrillingly dynamic and comfortably usable.

At its core, the GT Super SP hosts a 3.2-liter twin-turbocharged V6 by Italtecnica, delivering 740 hp with the aid of a power- boost function activated from the steering wheel, while a six-speed manual transaxle gearbox with an open-gate shifter milled from solid billet remains faithful to Totem’s purist philosophy, mounted on the rear axle for perfect mass distribution. To cope with the increased power and cooling demands, the front fascia now features a more pronounced lower intake, with functional vents integrated into the hood and front fenders to ensure thermal efficiency.

The interior reflects the same spirit of purposeful design: all onboard controls have been reorganized within a central console inspired by military aircraft cockpits, while the cabin showcases extensive use of herringbone-weave carbon fiber in areas where leather would traditionally prevail, including the shell seats, roof lining, and multiple trim details. The debut unit wears a deep metallic Bordeaux Red contrasted with blue Dinamica interiors, a livery that recalls the golden-era of Italian motorsport between the late 1950s and early 1960s, further enhanced by golden accents and an extraordinary level of bespoke craftsmanship.

With the GT Super SP, Totem Automobili brings to a close its chapter in restomod, delivering a creation that celebrates design purity, mechanical passion, and artisanal excellence; only ten will ever be built, ensuring that this final evolution becomes not just a car, but a timeless statement of what it means to honor the past while daring to redefine the future.
